About City of Heroes
City of Heroes was a groundbreaking superhero MMORPG developed by Cryptic Studios and published by NCsoft, originally launching in 2004. The game allowed players to create their own superheroes or supervillains with an incredibly deep character creator and diverse power sets. Though official servers shut down in 2012, the game was resurrected in 2019 when the source code was leaked, leading to multiple active private server communities that continue to develop and expand the game.
